The Banana Chair

The Banana Chair was our first chair and gave the company it's name. Originally conceived as the way we felt a chair should be made, it has gained popularity amongst back sufferers and the medical profession. The Banana chair is a portable compact recliner with easily adjustable straps to alter its reclining positions. It also folds up simply into a compact unit for carrying or storing.                                                        
The full benefit of the chair is found in the reclining position. It is excellent support for the lumbar spine, allowing the muscles to relax, relieving tension enabling you or your client to float back into perfectly supported and complete relaxation.    

The chair is also widely used by reflexologists, physiotherapists ,hypnotherapists and other therapists and can be combined with our posture stools. All our chairs are handcrafted in our workshop and finished to customer’s specifications with different finishes and standard or bespoke fabrics. Delivery 3-4 weeks.

We can cover your chair in one of our standard fabrics or if you would like to supply your own. We will need 1.5-2m of suitable upholstery of fabric depending on the pattern. We can also supply chairs in a contract fabric which are stain resistant, waterproof, breathable, anti fungal/anti bacterial and fire retardant.
